– Black I.P.A
The Cascadian Dark Ale or Black I.P.A is a relatively new variant that comprises of two beer styles mashed together to create some spectacular results. This variant is thought to have originated in America around 20 years ago and is now being taken up by some forward thinking English brewers. Thornbridge have made an excellent example of the variant (I am choosing my words carefully as this is not yet a fully recognized style) in Black Raven. Imagine the cascade hop depth of a real I.P.A with a delicate balance of malt; normally found in stouts and porters. The results are seriously impressive.
We will be pushing new beer variants such as this, and highly recommend that you give them a try & find out for yourself.

Fine choice, you’d not go far wrong stocking Thornbridge and nowt else. Jaipur and Halcyon in particular are stunning.
