– Festival Of Britain(s Beers) 2013 / Monday 25th March – Sunday 7th April
It’s that time of year again, we’re celebrating the beers of Britain by trying to make as many of the best available for two whole weeks. That means tap take over, it will encompass old favourites, new specials, new breweries and general goodness for the drinking all sourced from British breweries.
The two weeks will kick of with the much anticipated Meet The Brewer with Jeff Rosenmeier from Lovibonds on March 25th, throughout the festival we will have ‘specials’ and new beers from Thornbridge, Darkstar, Red Willow, Quantum, Summerwine, Roosters, Kernel, Brodies, Harbour and many others. We’ll also be giving people the opportunity to sample the beers from Berkshire’s newest addition to the brewing community, Siren Craft Brew.
If you have any suggestions or requests let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate them or just come in and enjoy the selection we’ve put together, which is none too shabby if we do say so ourselves!

Lovibonds Brewery started when Jeff Rosenmeier conned Customs and Excise into giving him a Beer Duty Certificate for his 100 litre overgrown home brewery. Lovibonds was one of the first of the new wave of British craft breweries to only keg their beer in defiance of traditionalists. Lovibonds beers range from the ever approachable to the turn your face inside out sour and points in between.

A great start to 2013, we begin with our first Meet The Brewer of the year featuring the amazing Gadds!
“Gadds’ of Ramsgate Brewery began life in the back of the Belgian Bar, in Ramsgate. Whilst not brewing Belgian beers they spent the following four years struggling away in the tight, smelly and smokey surroundings until they’d built up enough customers to break free. In 2006 they purchased a big shed and set-up again (properly this time), bigger, better and bolder than before, brewing fresh, tasty, local ale for fresh, tasty locals.”
